Welcome to the first blog on the Megalithic Database! In this blog, while we are busy assembling the Megalithic Database website, we would like to tell you little bit about the Megalithic Database project and what we are working hard to achieve with it. It's been years in the making and will take years to complete!

The Megalithic Database owes its origin to the same passion for ancient megalithic sites that people all over the world share. The genuine desire to learn as much as possible about who built these sites, how they built them , and especially WHY they built them. We are on a mission to document, catalog, and research every known ancient megalithic stone site worldwide. This will be a megalithic task, but we gladly accept this challenge and view it as a labor of love the fruits of which can be shared by all. These megalithic sites are highly sophisticated in their design, construction, and layout. They showcase the achievements and technologies of the civilizations that built them and are therefore one of the best ways we can can understand who these civilizations were and what our origins truly are.

The Megalithic Database is intended to be a resource for any and all who are interested in learning about our past. We would like to provide the best quality information we can assemble about each site that can be used for research or just for simply discovering how many incredible megalithic sites exist around the world.

In the near future, the Megalithic Database website will be ready to publish. At that time, we will incorporate this blog page as part of our overall website.
